How it all began
The origins of this journey have become clouded in time, not because the genesis was so long ago, but because the memories of a bunch of 50+ year olds cannot be trusted.
Suffice to say what probably started as a flippant remark gained momentum and then a life of its own. We can trace the earliest mention to October 2024 in a work Teams chat, which lead to a lot of Googling and eventually to a booked holiday.
