The adventures and stories of the IRA
We’re a group of middle aged (some might say crisis ridden) men and one spritely 30-year-old retaining our youth by seeking adventuring on our two wheeled steeds.
Newly formed in 2025 our first ride was to the top of the South Island in January followed by a camping shakedown in March in preparation for 17 days in Mongolia in June.
We’ll be attempting to post photo’s videos and funny stories as we go and keep a diary of what we learn so that others can benefit from our experience.

What’s Next?
Our next group adventure is 16 days and 2,000km circumnavigating the heart of Mongolia. We land on June 13th and collect our rental bikes from Cheke Tours, we overnight at a BnB and then the adventure really begins. All we know is our direction of travel, no predefined route, no allocated stopping points, no itinerary. All we need is food, gas and a sense of adventure.
